My name is Samson Williams, and I am a descendant of the people from Ugar Island in the Torres Strait. I was born in Cairns, Queensland and lived most of my life in Perth. In February 2020, I enlisted in the Royal Australian Navy, where I joined as a Maritime Logistics Chef Submariner.
A very proud moment during my service in the Royal Australian Navy, is when I got to March on Anzac Day with my dad, as I grew up watching him march every Anzac Day.
