‘The first time I went to a game, I was in a huge heavy wheelchair. I saw these guys flying up and down the court in their lightweight wheelchairs. There were people falling out of wheelchairs with blood and guts everywhere! I was hooked. The highlight of my career was being part of the Paralympic gold medal-winning team in Atlanta in 1996.’‘Our child is entering the world of ability from a unique perspective.’
