“The reason I joined defence was to do something different from what I have been doing for the past couple of years and I wanted a challenge, so I pushed myself to join and here I am nearly a year in.”
I have had my grandparents serve in Vietnam, in the Army and Royal Australian Air Force, respectively. I joined in August of 2023, I chose the Navy because of my love for the ocean and wanted to help people who have been affected by natural disasters. I have wanted to join Defence since I was very young, and I made that dream come true.
