“Keep on keeping on. This is my motto for every day.  If I cannot do something, I just try again the next day and I do not waste my energy in being critical of myself.”

– Bette Calman

Bette Calman

Yoga instructor Bette Calman is 87, but she’s still bending over backwards to spread the benefits of the ancient Indian discipline. The nimble great-grandmother can really pull some shapes, and with her set hair and pearl earrings, she looks as glamorous as Greta Garbo in a white jumpsuit. With over 40 years of teaching under her belt, the Australian wonder is living proof that a lifetime’s dedication to yoga will keep you as flexible as a rubber band.

Bette began her career in her late 30’s, when most sportspersons are retiring. Is there an unwritten rule for when people should begin and end their careers?
