“I joined the Army because I wanted to challenge myself physically and mentally. The work that I’ve done, assisting in operations, talking to kids at school on Anzac Day and even around the communities I have been on, has opened my eyes, and my perspective on life has changed. It is rewarding to know that our families and children are safe. Everything I do is for my children. I love doing the things that we do because we all share sweat and tears together. We’re like a big family. At the end of the day there’s always laughter in between. It’s like our home away from home because our Army family is our family too.”
